Commercial Gas Engineer

Description

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs and installation of gas central heating and air conditioning systems at customer premises.

In your job as a Commercial Gas Engineer, you may be required to:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks on heating and air conditioning systems, including boilers
  • Carry out reactive repair tasks
  • Complete site work order documentation to required site standards
  • Ensure that materials and spares are used in a cost-effective manner
  • Ensure all tasks are completed in a safe and tidy manner, in line with Health and Safety requirements

Typical Rate

The typical salary you might expect to earn as a Commercial Gas Engineer can range from £30,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and the location you work in.

Required Skills and Experience

Most employers will require you to have at least two years’ experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer. Other skills and qualifications that may be required include:

  • Experience in maintenance, servicing, install, breakdown, testing & unvented systems
  • Commercial gas qualifications such as CoDNCO1,CDGA1, CIGA1
  • Domestic qualifications may be desirable
  • Full UK driving license
  • HVAC experience
  • Electrical qualifications such as 17th Edition may also be advantageous
