The estimated breakdown in terms of trades shows over half (54%) are labourers, followed by joiners at 18%. The remainder are a mix of plasterers, painters, groundworkers and bricklayers.

Given the national shortage in skilled trades, it is encouraging to see an increase in the number of younger people coming into the construction trade. We have seen an increase each year from 2012 of under 21s registering on our website.
