Skilled Trades Numbers Rise For Kalcrest

Published on 12th September 2014

Kalcrest’s success in recruiting temporary staff for skills shortage jobs in the construction industry has continued, with a rise in the number of skilled trades out on site this week.

Skilled trades have been identified as the most in-demand workers in the UK economy, as activity levels in the housebuilding and construction sectors continue to rise.

Despite a shortage of available experienced staff across the country, Kalcrest have managed to supply an increasing number of skilled trades for both short and long-term assignments over the past few months, and 49% of our workers on site this week are skilled trades.

We have also placed more experienced, reference-checked site management staff and they now account for 16% of our workers.
Labourers with CSCS cards account for 25% of the staff, with the remaining 10% of the roles filled by civils workers.

We remain busy and have plenty of work available across the country for the rest of the autumn, so if you have experience of site work and a CSCS card, please register for the latest jobs by completing our application form.
