Dozer Driver

Description

As a Dozer Driver, your main duties will include:

  • Operating the machinery in a safe manner
  • Muck shifting / moving and removing materials
  • Assisting with groundworks and labour where required

Hours

Average hours for a Dozer Driver are usually between 40 to 50 hours per week or 8 to 10 hours per day.

Typical Hourly Rate

The hourly rate is typically between £17 and £24 per hour, but will vary depending on the contract, location and how much experience you have.

Required Qualifications

Most employers will require you to be a CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card holder in order to operate a dozer on site.

Some other qualifications you may need are:

    • NPORS card - this is sometimes accepted as an alternative to CPCS.
    • Quarry Safety Passport - this will depend on the project, but if you will be working at a quarry this may be required.
