Learning & Development Business Partner

Description

As a Learning & Development Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing support on all aspects of an employee’s learning journey through the development of delivery of staff training programmes.

The typical duties of a Learning & Development Business Partner will include to:

  • Lead, develop and evaluate all mandatory training to meet legal requirements of the company
  • Ensure new starter training and inductions are consistent and inline with all company policies
  • Design, deliver and monitor Apprentice and Graduate Learning
  • Create a Learning and Development Plan identifying training needs of individuals through analysis of performance appraisals
  • Manage your budget and ensure that a training calendar is in place to ensure funds are appropriately allocated throughout the year

Typical Rate

The typical salary you can expect to earn as a Learning & Development Business Partner will be between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum. Although this may be subject to change based on your level of experience, the size of the organisation and your location.

Required Skills and Experience

Although not always essential, having a HR or L&D qualification may be listed as desirable on many job vacancies.

Some other skills and characteristics that may be required for the role include:

  • Knowledge of competencies, NVQ and Apprenticeship Frameworks
  • Previous experience working in a learning and development role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills - both when speaking with members of staff about development plans and when communicating high level insights at Board level
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines
