Production Shift Coordinator

Description

As a Shift Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising a team of manufacturing operatives. Depending on the nature of the business, you may be required to work day or night shifts. Some businesses may require you to alternate between days and nights.

Some of the main duties of a Shift Coordinator will include:

• Day to day supervision of the production team to ensure targets are achieved for quality, service and costs
• Monitor day to day performance of the production team and business activity, producing reports and raising any concerns with Shift Leader / Operations Manager
• Provide training and support the ongoing development of employees
• Communicate relevant information to production team and deliver Toolbox Talks when required
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping throughout the department, ensuring all team members are involved in the tasks required

The typical salary you can expect to earn as a Shift Coordinator will range between £22,000 and £25,000 per year. Shift Coordinators supervising large production operations in a more senior role may earn upwards of £30,000.
