Although the report suggests a decline in construction until 2016, with marginal growth in 2017, Kalcrest’s experience is showing a significant upturn in the requirement for jobs in the sector.
Director of Kalcrest, Joanne Hurley, said: “Kalcrest has seen a continuous increase in the volume of orders for temporary skilled construction workers across the UK, and whilst this is not solely related to house building, it certainly is a factor. We are excited about the upturn in the housing market – its great news for our workers, our clients and of course, for us!”
According to the report, the greatest growth in demand is predicted to be for wood trades and interior fit out, followed by construction managers. This marks a real change in the operation and make-up of the industry, and is reflected at Kalcrest with more requests for management level personnel and joiners.
